INDO RELIEF SHELTER PROJECT

ABOUT

The goal of this emergency shelter design is to provide relief to those who are displaced by natural disasters in Indonesia. In addition to providing physical support, the shelter aims to provide dignity and humanity to those vulnerable, all while reflecting local architectural styles and ways of life in an attempt to better emotionally support communities. This design places emphasis on human-centered design backed by rigorous research. The space can accommodate private living and sleeping spaces while meeting the needs of a family of 4. Focus is placed on flexible and intuitive use strategies, accessible design standards, and sustainable design practices.
